Ages 18–25 experience a mental illness (Harvard)
An 85-year Harvard study found that close relationships are the single strongest predictor of lifelong health and happiness — more than wealth, fame, or IQ. Stanford research points the same way: strong social ties consistently track with better physical and mental health outcomes.
A Category Schools Already Recognize
Programs under names like ESI (Emotional Social Intelligence), SEL (Social Emotional Learning), and SECD (Social-Emotional & Character Development) are already spreading through K-12 and higher ed. RIQ: Grad Gateway is the next chapter — a structured curriculum that carries those same competencies into territory schools rarely touch: dating, intimate relationships, and the transition into adult partnership.
A 4-Module Curriculum, Built to Bridge the Gap
Bridging early-childhood social-emotional education and the skills required to navigate early adulthood.
1: Resilient Heart
Free yourself from your history for unhindered, secure adult bonds. Master core values, shame, addictive behaviors, and core identity.
2: Creative Connector
Master interpersonal communication: two subjectivities, active listening, healthy conflict resolution, and social media hygiene.
3: Modern Romantic
Understand when and how to invest in a partnership that lasts — healthy boundaries, trust, shared values, and mutual respect.
4: Indomitable Spirit
Clearly identify and impede emotional manipulation and abuse, and develop the agency to build relationships free of toxic behavior.
What Students Gain
Practical Tools
More effective communication, conflict resolution, and empathetic connection — skills that carry into every relationship, not just romantic ones.
Empowerment & Confidence
Enhanced self-confidence, resilience, and decision-making ability heading into college, career, and adult life.
Holistic Well-Being
Support for mental, emotional, and social well-being — a balanced foundation for a fulfilling relational future.
Developed by a Clinical Psychoanalyst
Dr. Perrin Elisha, Ph.D., is a psychologist and psychoanalyst who has spent more than two decades in private practice working on relational wellness. RIQ: Grad Gateway was built after she saw the same preventable patterns surface again and again in the adult population — patterns that early, structured relational education could have headed off. She is the author of The Conscious Body and has taught postgraduate courses throughout Southern California. She now lives and works in Aspen, Colorado.
